To ensure that we find people who love the ThoughtWorks experience as much as we do, we've developed a hiring practice that's unique in the IT industry.

Apply online Introduce yourself to us using our online application. Please note that we currently require all Brazilian nationals to apply to ThoughtWorks Brazil in the short term. There are many opportunities for travel with us, but we are not hiring direct from Brazil to other countries.

Assessments: We are currently running assessments and presentations in cities across Brazil. The up to date schedule for these can be found if you join our Facebook group and are also publicized on Twitter. Our assessments are challenging, but they are a great way to find out a little more about us.

Code review For candidates with development skills we'll get you to write us some code. Being buzzword compliant doesn't make someone an intuitive developer. We believe that real software development skills can't be communicated on a resume or in an interview. So, we have a coding problem for you to solve at home and e-mail back to us before your first interview.

In-office meetings. This is where the real fun starts. You'll meet with a number of ThoughtWorkers so you can get a better sense of the calibre of our people, and vice versa. For you to get a full picture, you may meet between 5 and 12 ThoughtWorkers before you finish the interview process. It's important for us to make sure that we understand your skills and potential and that you gain a thorough understanding of the culture of ThoughtWorks through these meetings, so we won't scrimp. Please note that although wearing a suit is appropriate in some situations, casual attire is normal in our offices and acceptable for interviews. Most days, you're better off showing up in a kilt than a tie.

The offer. After all that, we will try not to keep you waiting. If you're in, you're in. And once you're in, it's quite unlikely you'll want out. So, let's get started! Step 1 begins with the online application.
