One Year on from ThoughtWorks University

As a recent graduate from university and no prior knowledge of consulting, TWU was a great preparation for entering the world of consulting - specifically ThoughtWorks' successful and iteratively customised approach to consulting on IT projects. Now, one year on, I realise entirely how useful TWU was and is for my future.

The material covered has proven extremely useful in its direct application on the project and its relevance, but most importantly it was great guidance for continuous professional improvement and it left its graduates with a great list of books for further reading. For many of us graduates, the list of books keeps getting longer, as reading one book leads to orders for 5 new ones from Amazon.

However, the one best thing about the TWU was its trainers, very accomplished consultants themselves, who would answer all questions asked by graduates and most importantly were passionate about passing on their vast knowledge on to you! That's not something I or any of my friends experienced at university.

One year on, after being on few projects, I have applied most of what I learned at the TWU and subsequently, and have a clear direction for the future at ThoughtWorks, with a great group people, truly from all over the world - ThoughtWorkers!
